Mission:

The mission of the Faculty of Education for Human Sciences is to continuously prepare and develop teachers both educationally and professionally, enabling them to achieve required performance standards. It aims to qualify educational researchers capable of advancing knowledge and applying it to solve educational problems, continuously improve the educational field, and develop teaching and its policies at all levels. The faculty also seeks to enhance the capacities of academic staff and administrative personnel and advance the research system in light of modern scientific, technological, and administrative developments through effective partnership with the local community.

The Faculty of Education for Human Sciences at the University of Babylon aspires to be a leading institution in preparing teachers, professional practitioners, leaders, and researchers in the fields of education. It aims to achieve the highest standards of quality in educational and pedagogical domains, establishing itself as an academically and research-wise distinguished institution at the local, regional, and global levels.

Goals:

  • Prepare highly competent teachers for middle and secondary education through high-quality programs and scientific activities, fostering a generation committed to professional ethics and values.
  • Deepen students’ understanding of their field, its structure, content, concepts, and the nature and characteristics of human development at different stages.
  • Develop students’ abilities in critical thinking, innovation, problem-solving, performance skills, and continuous professional development through practical field experiences.
  • Enhance postgraduate studies and research systems in line with competitive trends, improving both qualitative and quantitative outputs.
  • Continuously contribute to the improvement and development of curricula, teaching methods, and educational technologies to meet societal needs and achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Develop the skills and competencies of faculty members and all college staff to meet total quality management requirements in scientific and administrative domains.
